Waves

Fierce, powerful waves of green sea glass
Mountains grinding and shifting along an ever changing fault
Rising with a roar into a crescendo of foam and sound
Only to sacrifice itself to the unforgiving land

Soft, feathery waves sculpted in the clouds
The swell of the water suspended in an endless blue sea
Endlessly pushed along by the lazy tides of wind
With no shore or cliff to hinder them

Gentle, golden waves of wheat and grass
An ocean of life stretching across freedom plains
The caress of the breeze crafts broad ripples
Which whisper and murmur the secrets of the earth

Swift, hectic waves in a vast human sea
Each person carried by their own hasty current
Erratic motion conducted by an omniscient hand
Into a rhythm as certain as a beating heart
