My Favorites List as of November 24, 2009 (not completely alphabetical)If you were on my favorites list before and don't appear here, please IM me and let me know. There were a lot of you that got lost somewhere along the way. I've had to add back about 50 people in the last couple of weeks alone.
I have deleted a bunch of inactive and/or non-responsive people from my "official AP" favorites list, as having 213 people on it makes it just downright unmanageable, not to mention it being ridiculously time-consuming. My "real" favorites list is posted on the link above - and it is, by the way, only one of four parts. I've been here for 5 1/2 years, so have done a massive amount of research on everyone's behalf. "Former" college librarian. Can't quite help myself, you know. If you change your screen name, please IM me and let me know, so I can find you again. Thanks for Being. The links will be non-active, to allow me to do just that. Just copy and paste them into your web browser. They will work just fine from there. I've noticed since I posted this that several have already dropped me from their own favorites list, which tells me that they didn't read this posted explanation of why I'm deleting people. So be it. If they're that easily offended or insist on being that sensitive, I don't have the time or efforts they seem to require anyway.
If you're not on it at the moment, that doesn't mean that I don't read your work or like your style...But this list has gotten completely out of control. Not being on some list doesn't mean I won't read or comment on someone's work, not in the least. There are many who have me on their own favorites list that haven't even logged in for a few years.
I really have to start spending more time working on getting my second manuscript together - it's taking far too long, at this rate. This is, after all, why I write poetry.
Please, no hurt feelings if you aren't on this list...YET; this is only the third in a series. I chose to list people I have known & admired the longest... More to be added as they are discovered... If you know of some worthy writers, please mention them in the comments section below...& if any of ya have changed your names...again...please let me know. I've weaned my "official AP Favorites List" recently, as it got completely unmanageable. For even more names, click on these links below. Also, please note: I've been writing poetry since 1973 and was also a college librarian for over 12 years. While this list is hardly inclusive, I do have very discerning tastes in writers or these people would not be listed. The above is also a link; click on it. ![]() |
Author notes
is a cloud floating in this sheet of paper.
Without a cloud there will be no water; without water,
the trees cannot grow; and without trees, you cannot make paper.
So the cloud is in here. The existence of this page
is dependent upon the existence of a cloud. Paper
and cloud are so close."

holy shit, i made it!!!! hehe ... teasing hun, for a beauty such as yourself to even glance at my fragile words makes whatever i write a blessing to my heart

Yeah, you made it alright - whenever I first laid eyes on your work...and proceeded to inhale it like the very air I breathe.
Glance at it, Proph??? Ohhh, I do far more than merely that with it.
-
-
sure hope I'm on it
-
-
You are.

-
I want to be worthy.

I'm sure you already are. I'm getting ready to delete a bunch of people from my "official" favorites list, as having 213 people on it makes it just downright unmanageable.
Send me a link or two through IM of your favorite poems and I'll come read when I get a chance (turkey's almost done now and I'm ravenous). I may decide to add you to this massively unreasonable list, too. Which is, by the way, only one of four parts.
I've been here for 5 1/2 years, so have done a great deal of research on everyone's behalf already. "Former" college librarian. Can't quite help myself.
Have a good one, Poet.

Hey hey, look! It's me up there! Wow! In among so many amazing writers! WOW! I'm really touched... You know, I think you've won trophies in my contests before... I have definitely read you before. I might go rummage around to see if I was right...

Awesome to be included on your list ^^ And: O..O at so many =)
You're awesome

To say I'm honored to be included on this list is an understatement. I'm a poet in development but I am sincerely grateful for all guidance and patience. I stumbled on this list this AM and it made my day! Thanks so much!

"Thank you, so much" has become a little cliche in the comments. I'm sorry I can't do the e accent thingy, okay? It's not my style.
Anyway,
I'd like to thank you (but not SO much or VERY much, but a LOT) and tell you that this is an amazing list and that I've read a lot of here.
Thank you, fellow poet.

Poetry is that which moves the heart, the beats not known, counting futile in the harbor of lost souls. Let the words live, let them rise above the dissonant trivial verse of those who would seek yet never understand what it means to be a poet and not have a soul.
I like it, I like it so!
Your list of course.

I have only just discovered this list lol. Some fantastic writers here! Many thanks for the addition Wanda, much appreciated xx

You're quite welcome. You earned the spot with your gifted writing.

-
Truly an honor to be chronicled amongst such quills of prowess.

I have a phrase I made up to qualify these distinctive souls, Adrian: It is "a mighty voice of thunder". I have experienced such storms upon your pages, Scribe. It is an honor to read these people. You among them.

-
You're welcome, Chenoa. You most certainly belong on here with the rest of 'em, Sweetie. I added a few more today alone.
-
-
Oh, I am so flattered to have been added to your list and included with so many fantastic poets!
A deep honor!

You earned it, Lady. This isn't my only favorites list; it's merely the current "official" one.
I have many more on other lists, posted as "poems". AP's favorites system is far too limiting. I've been a member for over 5 years now, so I've ran the gamut (& gauntlet, in many instances) of writers on this site, to say the least.
Welcome.

I originally joined in '01 and posetd religiously for a couple years and met several wonderful poets. And for reasons I still don't even know I had about a 5 year hiatus from writing... the bug has bitten me once again I suppose and I returned to post again. And now I am meeting so many more wonderful new people that are helping to inspire me back to my old writing habits. Thank you for being one of them
