Smiles,
Laughs.
You are all I can think of
Perfect in your own way.
Loving you with all my heart.
To separate us,
Would destroy my heart.
Being together
Brings a smile to my face.
No crying
Will come with this.
Only happy
Gleeful bliss.
Happiness filled me up
When I first met you.
Would never regret it.
If I were to lose you
Depression would set in.
Now we know
We're a perfect match.
I love you with all my heart,
Pray that we never part ways,
Because that would crush both of our hearts.
Just perfect.

It is still very good. Whether or not the situation is dated, and the set of circumstances became unfortunate, these words and thoughts meant so much to you. That is what is most importantly great about this poem.
Loss and departure from a loved one is always unfortunate, but eventually you will look back on these writings one day and not only remember the good times and shamelessly remember the feelings that went along with everything, but you will remember why this was a stepping stone in gaining new life experiences. Even if they are painful and harsh ones. a quote that comes to mind is that of Three Days Grace's Pain, "I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all."
Stylistically, I liked the word choice and flow of this piece. Good work,. True poetry, whether past or present comes from the heart and this one does. -
and its lovely :)

I agree with ButILoveHer, this was an awesome poem you have put together here and I look forward to reading more from you as soon as I get more time. For the fact this was for an ex. I'm sorry things didn't work out for the two of you. Everything in life I've learned happens for a reason and that reason is to make us stronger. I've also concluded that the reason why bad things happen to good people is to open them up to the possibilities that in life absolutely anything is possible and can happen with a drop of a hat. The emotion in this poem was very deep and again I'm sorry that things didn't work out for the two of you.
