Excited to go
TO open the door is all she wanted,
She ran down our steps
Eager to play.
A car pulled into our driveway
To deliver our mail.
We should've paid attention
To our little dog.
The driver didn't either
And drove right over her.
We came running
And lifeted her up.
All that happened after that,
Was she took her last breath.
Dedicated to a great little dog, Ginger.
Author notes
This was about my dog Ginger, who was a dachsund chihuahua, who was ran over in our driveway, and she was 17 years old. She took her last breath in my mother's arms. It's very sad.
Is it good or what?

Superb
A fine write, and tribute, as well. I love animals, so you have my empathy. You expressed your thoughts quite well. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
