After I get through
The star-struck awe
Of sitting at the same table
With the man whom I helped get elected
I would ask
That he focus his efforts on
Unlocking this nation's full potential
This nation
Is a sleeping giant
That can be even more
Than the great place we already are
And that potential lies
In the youngest of our citizens
If math and science weren't so hated by them
Maybe we'd have better health care
If they were exposed to many cultures
Perhaps equality would finally be achieved
If they better knew how our government works
Perhaps they could make it work better
So I'd tell him
Do everything you can
To give our students
The tools they need
And the rest of the dominoes
Will fall into place.
