Worn-out welcome in this place
Tired of running the human race
Just shut my eyes and close my mind
Indifferent heart, emotions blind
This shitty world just fades to grey
I’ll shrug it off and walk away

Author notes
Usually my poems are longer but this one just seemed better short and simple. It was inspired by the quote "Apathy has rained on me, now I'm feeling like a soggy dream. So close to drowning but I don't mind. I've lived inside this mental cave, throw my emotions in the grave. Hell, who needs them anyway" from Burnout by Green Day. It's one of my favorite songs by Green Day (which is my favorite band) other than Minority.
