Suffer litle children

A little girl and boy dressed for a wedding
exchange glances

the frills of her dress, his coat tails
ruffle in the wind
tumbling 14 000 feet, alive all the while

the passenger plane's jet engines
hit by heat-seeking missles

returning home the soldiers
are given combat ribbons

A nine year old in a summer dress
hides her swollen stomach

the cut-out tumor has been replaced
by another

a fourteen year olds left breast
removed, is gone for good

cancer victims
of depleted uranium shells
made from nuclear waste

sanctioned hospitals without
medications

A young boy in a refugee camp
burned by white phosphorous
fragments

as long as there is oxygen
the shards sear into the body

the surgeon amputates a leg
but one-third of the boy's face
has already eaten away
and he expires

Misdeeds that go unheeded
suffer little children to come unto whom

... wow. what more can i say ... it seems you're a person unafraid to stand up and say what you're thinking, or even what you believe - and on this site [and indeed many more like it] that's one of the hardest things to do, particularly, if you are as i think you are, speaking not of the 'goodness and bravery' of soldiers but of those who are hurt from the path of their 'rightousness' and i've landed myself in the flames a few times on AP, from not praising and worshipping war / soldiers / violence.

Excellent write; far too descriptive but yet just what we need to read. I#m looking to read more of your works now

The raw description is the raw truth which is the real evidence of these crimes against humanity. As the crimes continue to go unchecked the administrative instigators become more bold and arrogant in their acts.
The scenes are primarily impressions from Robert Fisk's book on the Middle East. He's a renown English Middle East foreign correspondent with a PhD in poli sci from Trinity College who was posted in Belfast for The Times.
I was cautious not to point any specific fingers. Many countries may still practice secret torture which is not much better.
I'd like to read some of your pieces and comment on them in return.
