You gaze into the unknown, smiling
I wonder to myself what lies behind your eyes
We’re together comfortably, but I still feel like
Like there is something amiss within your words
I hold your hand to let you know I am truly here
I speak words of comfort, love and admiration
But still your words are inscribed as two dimensions
Our world sublime, but somehow you seem to drift
Inside I am begging that your words will find a home
Reside in my heart and soul, engrave what you must.
Even at a distance our voices echo
Leaving insightful reflections, that aches inside
I hear you; you’re distant, but so close, open up to me
I need to know, to hear, and to feel the words we long for
Your words already leave an impression on my soul
I just need you to emboss the words I already know
Fulfill me, complete me, and ask of me what you will
I’m here for you always, and I know you’re frightened, as am I
I whisper goodnight, as I hear your sweet voice fade
Words so subtly you speak; but are unheard of by my ears.
Lift me up on high, as I dab this last blob of ink
Imprint your desires from the pages of your heart
Etch the future of you and me in our life’s book of endeavors.

I couldn't help but do another one. Your words just spoke to me.

Congratulations on the silver, Cristy!
We're all born with intuition, but some moreso than others. This poem is a perfect example of the intuition you have. It's very strong in this poem. I was enthralled by every line in this poem.

You're quite welcome, Cristy.
It's not too hot out today. Life is good. We had one day of 108 degrees two weeks ago, which is very unusual for Washington State.
