Words borne by thoughts in a turmoil,
Die silenced on smothering lips.
Tolling bells of speeches fading past,
Wither; neglected within buried memories.
Love writhing in malice's shadow,
Dwindles in strength, as the hours tick on.
For words perish swiftly in fear's presence,
Engulfed by darkness, they vanish but alone.
As few conquer memories, of moments gone past,
Such as those casting stains on fragile hearts.
Love may die in a second;
That which forms in a lifetime,
As sowing seeds of neglect,
Play their part...
What did you think
