Millions of coins

I won’t give you a lie
I am no hero.

Moving down the edge of this,
Working out my instincts,
They tell me to run.
Take the money and run.

I couldn’t possibly spend it all.
I wouldn’t know what to do.
But to give it all so readily away,
May take more than I have in me.

I don’t care for money.
Not as much as you would think.
Because, truly, all I need is my family,
There smiles are good enough for me.

Then why would I keep it all,
If I was a millionaire?
Because I have a dream planned deep
And I wish to one day be taken there.

I can fly one day
Away…far…
And no longer will my feet need
To be stapled to the ground.

I can lead the dance, just this once
Floating whirls of silken plaits,
Then held up against the wall
Like there was no coming down.

Ten thousand for that chance,
is not so expensive as you think,
I'd give it over again, I'm sure,
If the end brings what i see.

I’d send my family on my whim
Treat them for their stress
And we don’t need the money, we don’t.
We don’t need it to be happy.

Run to my love,
Arms folded tight and
the laughter, oh the laugher.
It will my my heart burst.

I’m no hero.
But maybe I'm simply a romantic.
