Although I am half-way across the world
In a dingy little apartment in a city
In my mind, I'm still in that sleepy little town
With you
My memories of us run through my mind
And brings a lone tear to my eye
I can almost still feel your lips pressed so sweetly to mine
And your strong arms wrapped around my waist
I give the blank walls a bittersweet smile
For the faded memory of a first love
Never truly fades

Kinda
It's artistic, I'll give it that much. You're good at expressing yourself. However, this poem really pissed me off because I've had this happen to me before. A couple times.
(Ladies, do not leave your men if you are likely to love them still the way that you do.)
And if you are writing poetry like this, then you should probably call him. If you're not prepared to do that, then why write it? It's defeatest. There is nothing uplifting here. -

Seriously, there is no guy. I just the prompt and ran with it.

OMG, this seriously almost made me cry. Tears actually came to my eyes because ... I'm afraid of this happening to me. I think you know what I mean. Anyways, it was a truly wonderful poem. I loved it, despite the tears!
