Water fairy full of life
She hides within night
Capturing the moon in
her illuminating eyes;
Her beauty engulfs her
like a permanent plague
Her hair brown like dirt
Her skin fair like snow
she smiles when it's day
but the night makes her
shy and the stars glowing
make her want to fly by.
Her watery home sparkles
in the moonlit mirrors,
She waits by a waterfall
full of spring-like flora
Neon tetras swim there
full of vibrant iridescent
pink, blue, and purples.
She thinks this place is
the most beautiful of all
but she's never been farther
than the shore before,
she waits in the water.
The luminous waves for
someone brave enough
to talk to her and take
her away from this place
though she thinks it's grand
she wants to visit more than
her puddle-filled cove,
she wants more than she has
and that's really her downfall
she has everything she needs
everything beautiful there,
but when morning comes
she blankly stares in happiness
day after day she wants more
and that is her curse, to explore.
