fear takes over in her soul.
Body aching; heart pounding.
Can she break his merciless hold?
Her body is numb,
but she could feel her skin grow colder.
The icy blade exposed her breasts,
and it was still slicing her garments, ever lower.
If only? If only?
If only, can't help her now.
She made him leave; forced him away.
It's up to her to escape, somehow.
He doesn't even know where she is;
probably wouldn't care ...much.
She blindly turned his love away.
Afraid of his passion. Afraid of the rush.
That voice; so strange, slurred, and unfamiliar.
Back to reality. Time to force another breath.
The devil seemed to mock her behind dangerous eyes,
it made her fear the worst; expect death.
The hopeful moon shone bright in the sky
through the raging storms above her.
For a moment she thought she saw him there,
but unwillingly she wasn't sure.
Then she saw him again.
His dark sillhouette in the heart of that Topaz Moon.
Her heart stopped, but her mind raced.
How could he have arrived so soon?
How did he know she was here?
Of course he'd know. He's always had her in sight.
He's the Warrior of Topaz Moon,
protector of the night.
She wasn't sure when it happened,
but now she was resting against a nearby tree.
Confused by the swiftness of his sword,
and the coward at his feet.
How did it happen so fast?
There must have been a fight,
but as she fought to remember,
she recalled only a flash of white light.
Startled from her thoughts;
there he is at her side.
So much power. So little mercy.
What a relief, he's on her side.
This is a moment of great pleasure.
His thick black hair. His liquid-bright green eyes.
Which she will always treat as precious treasures.
The emeralds that found her heart; and locked themselves inside.
How could she deny him?
Kill her soul? Rip her heart out?
He's always been the one.
He's always been around.
She owes it to herself.
She owes it to him.
The world will just have to deal with it.
All that matters is the two of them.
She smiles up at him sweetly.
Unspoken apology in her eyes.
He kisses her gently.
And together, in love, they fly.
Author notes
This is a poem I wrote as a new poem, specifically for Ted E Bare's contest.
I hope he likes it. I hope everyone likes it. I became inspired from reading too many novels. Please tell me what you all think! Should I just stick to rant poems? Or only emotional poems?
PS: Sorry it's so long Ted E. Once I got started, I just couldn't make myself stop. Hope you enjoy reading it! Now at least I know you have one new poem in your contest.

I think you truly know me by now with such a loving and moving poem. I love for people to be in love and of course this is such the case that it gives me goosebumps. This is much better than a rant for it demonstrates you believe in that thing called love too. Glad to have it in my contest. I want to thank you for your entry into the following contest: "Already On My Favorites."

PS: Your entry has been blessed by the three wise clappers, but don't spend the whole nine points in one place(lol)!

WOW!
This one is absolutely brilliant!
Just amazing words!
It has a nice flow of thoughts, though the lines in some places are long, which make it difficult to read aloud with the same flow! But awesome imagination!
It keeps the reader eyes stuck to the screen till the end, which is very enthralling!
