I can see it
behind those captivating blue eyes
flecked with silver
the ones that hold me
locked in a touchless embrace
I can see it
something
a good something
something to make him smile at me
warm as loving arms
that comfort a saddened spirit
and tender as gentle hands
that brush silken locks of midnight
from my glowing face
something to make me wonder
what thought made those precious gems sparkle
as they gazed across the few feet that spanned between us
as far as the lips of a canyon
and as close as each atom in the smallest molecule
I dare not allow myself to dream
for I may never know
what simple thought
could bring such radiance
to those stain glass windows
ice blue with flecks of silver
but still I find myself hoping
that it had something
just something
to do with me
