He’s the lost puppy no one wants
A slave to a broken heart
But he loves her, with all his might.
He thinks about her even on the most brutal, lonely nights.
One says true love is blind,
If that’s true, he’s but another to succumb to it’s illusion.
A child yearning for it’s affection.
To be craved and touched by the hands of a women,
He needs her and her kiss so potent.
He’s the one that’s always there
A knight to calm her deepest fears
The one who took the time to truly figure her out
The only one who has ever dared to care.
He tore down her walls and seen past her quiet front
Into the beautiful women she has become
The one who lives for just about everyone.
He couldn’t help but get his heart stolen,
But he knows, it’ll yet again be broken...
There’s no use in pretending,
To dream such outlandish dreams
To think so carelessly,
He knew the truth all along,
When she wrote someone else’s name on her palm..
A love that’s not returned
Is a love that scorches and burns.
It was doomed before it even began,
They would never be more then just best friends.
