Whats Waiting Round The Corner

Do I wish to know my future
I certainly think not
Gone would be the adventure
No story, no plot

I've no need to know of sorrow
That may wait ahead for me
If joy, a pleasant surprise
In life there is no gaurentee

What's waiting round the corner
Does peek my curiosity
But I like living in the moment
So there is no need to hurry

Today is more than enough
To make me happy
And as for all of the rest
Well I can wait and see

Great poem, Fader. I take life one day at a time...I think it's more exciting that way. Congrats on the green thing.

    Delightful !!!!!!!!i

I love the message in your words.Be thankful for today, don't worry about tomorrow . Always a pleasure to read your poetry. Take care. Bless You Sandy

  • nice faderman i like the first paragragh totally agree

  • you know this reminds me of the story of pandoras box the one evil that she didn't let escape was hopelessness. i think knowing our futures would be the most vicious evil, because we would feel totally hopeless always knowing what would happen day after day knowing every awful thing to come every surprise it just wouldn't give us any reason to live for tomorrow if we already knew what was going to happen, amazing poem by the way

Thanks young lady. I know exactly what you mean. There would be nothing to strive for. no surprises or anything. It would be quite sad I think. I love the story of pandoras box by the way too! Great story!

    Enjoyed

I loved the simplicity of this, and agree with you totaly.imagine if we all came out of our mothers wombs with a preserved papyrus parchment based on our entire lives.blimey,i think suicide rates would have soared so high, lol, people wouldnt give a damm bout anything, the earth would be more chaotic than it already is.
    Good luck dear!
Sorry but im just cracking up at the thought.
16years old, mama calls, joe darling this is your destiny chart,it floats in the amniotic fluid, here says your going to be a drunken tramp from 18 nd live in a cardboard box in the bronx till your 102,youl get parkinsons at 70,and eat out of trashcans too.imao.this isnt funny at all, culd you imagine...

Wow! If only everyone could feel this way and live for the day they are given! This is a wonderful poem and I enjoyed reading it! You point out many great points, I mean if you really knew ever thing that was going to happen to you then what would be the point? Thanks for sharing and I can't wait to see more!
