A Moment In Time

Can I stop the world from turning?

A tear drop to fall?

A life to end?

An emotion to die?

The cold rain falls,
rivers flow washing
away all the times, memories
and existing love.

I chased the current, but
could not keep up!

I want to stop the flood, the flow, but
cannot. 

Can I catch the leaf that fell,
the tree that fell, no,
it is too far gone, beyond my grasp?

Could I change the current,
stop the world from turning?
No, I cannot not!

I must remember the moment
in Time, hoping, dreaming that
the Flood will end.... 

Could I have changed the Moment In Time
that caused the leaf to fall, to flow.
No, for I cannot turn back the hands
of time, just hope for the future.
