breakthrough

shacked and bound
inside my shell
wishing i could break free
the harder i try
the chains hold me tighter
leaving my scared and broken
as im forced to watch you slip away
you left me defeated and alone
just as i've always been
growing more frustrated
in my internal battle
the chains start to strain
and here you are again
within reach yet so far away
tired and warn
as i look into your beautiful eyes
i find the streinghth
to give it one more try
tears begin to flow
as you slowly walk away
my voice wont work
to get you to stay
as i grow more desperate
the chains holding me burst
and i fall to the floor
i run to you
screaming your name
stumbling over my feet i fall
defeated once again
yet something is diffrent
i look up into your smiling face
i stumble to my feet
to be held in your embrace
