Hush Now Baby!

Hush now baby
Mommies here
I will sing away
your fear!

Listen, hear the angels sing
if you’re quiet you’ll hear wings
As they fly the air they stir
softly now, your minds a blur

I will rock you as you drift
hold you gently as you sift
through the day’s expenditure
take with you my love so sure

Hush now baby
Mommies here
I will sing away
Your fear!

Author notes

Thank you for this. You brought back a memory of my Mom singing to me. She had a beautiful voice & sadly didn't use it much.

can't hear this? Why not? It's coming in here clearly [though not like a studio recording] I wanted so for you to hear my voice! Thanks for trying anyway. Don't you have speakers?

This was a very sweet poem. It made me sad though, but then again all nice poems about mother's do. I really like those two lines. You did a beautiful job. Keep it up.
