Lonely Stars[unfinished]

‘I love the way my body feels in your hands’ she whispers as his mouth hovers over her lips.
He pauses, bringing his eyes to hers.

I knew you never understood why I felt the way I did about you, you never found yourself as anything worth feeling twice, but you’re the only one who could jump my heart when your lips touched mine, it was only you that could pull my love for you from my lips.

You’re the shooting star I’ve seen a hundred times over the river in that Baytown that I must have wished on way too many times. Or the faith in my heart that I could never believe in until our first kiss we shared on your cold icy driveway that was absurdly unfamiliar to me.

Your body felt so perfect against me when you bent that little way between our lips and pulled my heart to my tongue. You felt the way my tongue whispered 'iloveyou'

Author notes

I definately have some more work to do on this, I'll be back and let you know when it's finished. =]

  • Perfect, I wish this was finished as I have extended the time of ending this contest twice and I started it a little over two months ago, though I love these images.

    Thank you for entering.
    Kindest of regards.

-i like the way this ending is somewhat from the boy's POV. it makes for a subtle twist.

i thought some lines dragged a bit, but other than that is was a very pretty poem
