A day to remember, an evening to savor,
a night that will punish me forever…
What price, this gentleness,
these corporeal wonders,
so often used as tools against me?

Very well written piece that to me shelves all hope and sees only loss everywhere you turn. Your words actaully speak of learning and lessons that you will pick up on on the way through life. Well done indeed and good luck in the contest.

So much in few words, impact of an era in a moment
This is like a era summed in five lines. It's impact reminds me of the dinosaur in your picture (couldn't decide between godzilla or a dinosaur, but he looks fierce either way). There is a timeless wonder to this piece. It has an everlasting impact, pity that it has to punish you forever, but it may lead to more writing, which certainly wouldn't be punishment--- at least not for us (your readers that is, there's only one of me last time I checked).
