I finally snapped…
she knew it was there,
she probed for it,
and she found it…
Now…
what is there to say?
What is there to do?
I could only take so much
sophistication…

Mysterious mystique, masterfully meted
Your brevity is most compelling. The allusion is to very much done, but little said to detail the event. That alone creates a mystique that is most inviting in this poem. "Sophistication" can lead the reader into many avenues, but we must look both ways before we cross the street. I liked the way you carefully paced this mystery, giving us just enough to pique interest, then leaving us craving more. Marks of a good writer? I suppose we'll have to follow the ..... to find out. Lovely last line!

I've been amiss over the weekend, so many comments, must return the favor (if only to give you a curious view)... I wasn't really 'writing' in these short pieces, as much as communicating... (come to think of it, most of my 'writing' stresses something other than writing... curious...) thanks...

Feast for the eyes
Your "communications" are feasts for the heart, soul, and eyes. May you always take your readers out to dinner. I should be thanking you!

This poem had a great point. One cannot constantly live in the "normalities" of life. Trying to be prim and proper all of the time just isn't being real.
Great poem,

I read between the lines in comments, so I'm reading your 'great point' as "great point, but the writing leaves much to be desired!" (and for me, that is usually the window dressing...) so... thanks for the spur, whether you intended it or not...!
