O tethered youth...
now's the time to bare yourself
uncompromised
as transparent glass,
void of lies.
Stretched to thin
no place to hide,
the beatings taken,
unjustified!
Exits sealed
broken wings
a child doomed
wretched creature
swaddled in ice.
Now a man
once reared by wolves
and the juniper berry
heart caressed
by calloused hands...
forged anew,
by a love
soft as satin cloth.
Nestled now
in her chest,
nowhere else
I wish to rest.
She'll never know
the gratitude I hold,
for saving me
from the bitter cold,
though some day
I'll let the truth unfold.
The day I tell her
she saved my life,
is the day she agrees
to be my wife.
