Sun comes in, sharp as knives
But there is not a pain in my sides
The dawn is shielding my soul from the once dark void of my life
All the emptiness in the shadows have been swept from space and time
Trees of green and ivory line the sun lit path
As I ask the archangel, all he whispers is "This is what comes after the Rapture"
Blue and red and violet entwining us all in a universe that is full of salvation
So many good souls brought together, so many different lives molded into one
There is an aching in what I would have once called my heart
Flames burst from my sides, golden voices echo through my mind
This is what He has done for us
This is what we have been waiting for all of our lives
I tried to make the most of what I had with my short life
Never being rewarded for my deeds of kindness
But here the reward is eternal and rewards matter not a bit
All I can do is joyously cry out
"How could one being give us so much"
A world so beautiful, and then an afterlife eternal
All He does is smile
In that moment I know our eternal happiness is all that matters to Him

This beautiful poem made me cry with joy. I loved the way you described this for us and the way you feel. I will meet you in heaven some day. I just know it in my heart and we will hug each other and ask all the questions we want from God. What a wonderful day that will be. Awesome poem.
