Always didn't agree with me
Perhaps it was the way of my stubbornness,
Playing roulette with my life stupidly
You held on to your belief that I would mature
Faith allowing your love to embrace me, even when I was wrong
And continuing to help me to grow as a man
Today is the day I thank you for all you have done
Hear my heart as I say I love you for the man you are
Every day I count my blessings
Respect is what you have earned
So, Dad, remember it is not just today I honor you, it is all year
Don't forget that you are the one I want to be like

this really is touching because every Father's Day is a day I remember I no longer have my dad around and its hard, but he was a good man and taught me well and can rest knowing that his only son is being the best man he can be and is truly trying to live in his light. Thanks for sharing this with me! -
