Everyone is born fresh and new
Shiny and true.
You live life in awe
As if it hasn't got a single flaw.
When you're a child, life is a game,
*With how you'd rather place the blame
Than point it your own way*
As you live each day.
Before you know it, you're a teen
And your life is a reality tv screen.
You find that too many are fake
And that the truth gets overly baked.
Now you're living the american dream
And feel super supreme
Because you married Mr. Right
And wouldn't go down without a fight.
Someday you'll lie in your deathbed,
Telling everyone what you dread
Then saying "sure my life hasn't been a piece of cake
But it sure wasn't a mistake."

*THIS IS NOT MINE. This belongs to Hilary Duff, I just like the way it sounds and figured it fitted pefectly into my poem. You don't have to agree with my perspective on life,so don't complain.

Great work!
The only thing I can see ou revising is the line 'gets overly baked.' The -ly in overly seem a bit much. Other than that I think the poem is really great. You seem to have put a lot of thought into it.
Keep up the good work, dear poet!
Blessed Be.
