chip away bits of me;
rip me
like confetti into thin air
and after hours
keep cold,
no matter how many hearts
you have touched.
carry me into a pit
of dreamless sleep
and outlaw the rainbow
and ban light
from the end of tunnels
because it might be a
religious reference.
cut me up into star shapes
just the right degree
because i’m imperfect and
need to be fixed,
soak me in the aroma of blood
till i faint under you
but you keep at it, with me
lime-faced, at your mercy,
to make sure i can
be stitched back
and make it out
alive.

This is so sweet... and makes me think about my darling as well.
This entire poem is so endearing and beautiful; I may need to write something semi-inspired by this
But really, it's brilliant.
You never cease to amaze me.
