All the wrong words stream from my lips,
Falling from the sky like music notes,
Torn from the sheet and fluttering to the floor below.
Normal people, call that rain.
Maybe you are the one who dances in the rain,
The Do, So, La sounding so beautiful to your ears,
When it is a screeching violin to others.
Your voice reminds me of a cello,
It resonates deep within my being,
Shaking me through the marrow,
Giving my heart wings, flying.
Hands so...If I say it it will give away my secret,
Every touch brings such a strange light to everything,
And I hail this forbidden fruit.
As my fingertips...and lips control the whistle of my flute,
They could also imprint the same upon you,
But I cast it off.
Fingertips are for music, not puppeteer strings.
I'll lay out this paper with empty staves,
If you wish it so,
Your foot prints will become the notes,
Of which my heart will play,
The beats becoming loud,
Harmonizing with feeling and turning into words,
And at the end of this chorus...You will find me.

Conflicting feelings maybe? Only one person may know who this is actually about. No contests or anything this time...I looked for contests and decided this one was pure enough to just be its own inspiration.
Bonus points if anyone gets who its about

Commas are kind of overused in this, makes it a tad hard to read sometimes.
"Fingertips are for music, not puppeteer strings." I loved that line; I adore puppeteer references as long as they're not cliche and that was quite unique. Do you mind if I use that as a prompt in the future? Ill be sure to credit you.
Great idea here, greatly penned too. Music and poetry go magnificently together. Thanks for entering and best luck in mine and your other contests!

Wow, this almost made me cry. It's so beautiful and pure and simple and honest. Words cannot safely describe how closely I identify with this poem. And yes, I do know who it's about.
