Dear Lady,
It's cold outside at night when you know you are alone; unloved.
The rain comes down so hard it seems when you have no one to hug; to hold. My life i think was right on track atleast that was how it appeared, now i am stranded, alone; no job, no family, no home.
How can it be that they are fine with all they own and hold so dear; are they so different to me?
I had a girl if i remember it straight, she was sweet and beautiful and claimed she loved me much; i guess that changed. My kingdom was mighty and great not so long ago with rooms enough for children and such maybe a dog named bones; now i sleep under the stars.
SO answer me please Lady Luck why was it me which you choose to destroy? To take a wife, job and friends in a very short time; if only it would now be my life.
Sincerely
A forgotten soul

Have you ever stopped to think how the homeless feel?

It's a thought-provoking poem.
The paragraph structure caught me off guard, at first, then as I read along it seemed suitable for the off-beat rhythms I picked up on.
I think anyone who's experienced loss in their lives would be able to relate to this piece. You put it in a very interesting perspective. -

Thank you, i wanted to write something out of my comfort zone for once as my poems genuinly have a similar form to a sonnet in rhyme and flow.
I decided instead of writing about a personal experience or something funny that i would write to lady luck on behalf of all the homeless
