day one and i already miss you

i wanted to cry the moment the door hid my eyes.
maybe i miss you extra
because i know i won't see you for a long time
and i want to get all the heartpain out of the way
so it doesn't drown me later.

but i think i am just sad that you won't be here
to sing classics in your car
or walk with me through summer
or run your hands along my naked spine.

at least it's the same sun shining down on us.
and maybe when you look up
you will think about me,
and how i see your sun
at a different place in the sky.

i know i will be thinking about your breath against my neck,
and my perfect, perfect world
when your warm hands wrap around my waist
and we nap under the drowsy, same-old sun.

for him... although it is less of a poem and more of a letter

I like the place you take your reader, into your heart-thought. You become familiar to me in the sadness, yet bright and warm in the intimate disclosures. This is lovely. Geo

didn't like particular points but i can't critique something that is so emotionally honest.
