Out the Window

For the first time today I looked out the window
and on this day it is raining
It rained so hard I thought it might snow
You don't know what days could bring

But in June the rain forms into a river
A river can not only be tangible
Someone shot a state trooper
But this isn't the old fable
Many celebrated this great man
by showing up to his funeral

The river hasn't died yet
Because of what been caused
to this Naval cadet
who respected the laws

I looked out the window
and see the broken fence
The car guard isn't for the shows
Though my anger is intense
and the fact that it grows
For someone lacking common sense

Because of  the lack therof
All that's next to me is sand
What once stood what I love
Though people just walk through my land

A land I used to call home
Where my life was
I used to freely roam
I have to pause
Everyday at place that's supposedly is home
to look at how happy I was

Before and after I go to work
I see a rabbit go by
out of light and dark
He stands and runs by

What was the use for a scarf?
To keep my neck warm
I want to barf
or do a ritual to perform
how I want to really use this scarf.
When my mood begins to transform.
