There once was a silly old nutter,
Who one day decided to utter,
We should ban Peter Pan
In a jar and a can,
We should banish that damn peanut butter.
But I wish that his plan would just flutter
Into a trash can or the gutter,
For I can’t go a day
Without P. B. & J.
To think of it just makes me shutter.
For how I would mumble and mutter,
I would drift like a boat with no rudder,
Into pieces I’d fall
If my Reese’s were all
Just chocolate but no peanut butter.
And how I would probably putter
All day in the yard and I’d stutter,
If they ever ban Squirrel
With it’s velvety swirl,
My spirit would spin out and sputter.
No more would my heart be aflutter,
I might even become a cutter,
For what good is jam
On your sandwiches ma’am
Without any thick peanut butter!

Only you can bring peanut butter to life in such a way.
This one made me smile. I just love my crunchy Skippy peanut butter and Smuckers for Suckers. It takes a wild imagination to create something so lyrical and funny out of peanut butter.

Funny and well maintained liked the half rhyme boldness of shutter and rudder.A triple limerick is some feat although we have to allow for some uneven rhythm.

Wow. Bravo!!! Bravo!! I can't believe you kept that going for so long without losing the readers' interest or making it stupid redundant. That was amazing. Best of luck in the contest!!
Write on.

I might even become a cutter,
Lol! This poem made me laugh so hard. I love peanut butter too! Thank you for entering, good luck! -
Who would have thought there are so many rhymes for 'butter'! Enjoyable write - nicely written.

Sorry to say that your title "Can The Plan To Ban Peter Pan" transgresses the rules which require the prompt to be the title. Changing your title will satisfy the requirements.
-
Very clever and amusing, well done
