SunRise Mountain

The sun rises
as the mountain walls
light into a fiery flame.
Peaks all around me seem to burn
even the snow

The trees in the shade
look like giant, black spearheads
pointing up at the sky

I can see eagles
in the distance
waving their wings
to the lake up ahead

I can see the lake
in the mountain vally
It is a pool of fire
rippling  its flames

The trees now grow bright
They too, grow embers
The mountain looks
like a fire around me

The rocks in the shade
looks like a pile of coal
The clouds in the sky too
look like flames

Fire seems to be everywhere
but it doesn't seem harmful
It gives the warm feeling
of nature

The Mountain itself
looks like a giant fire
and the volcano inside
steams out in anger
telling the sun to leave

Animals come out and hop around
nibbling the grass
others relax

A field of flowers
on the side
a pink and blue sea
a boat can't ride

SunRise Mountain
Lives up to its name
Sunrise Mountain
I'll come here again
