Angels on the side line
Puzzled and amused
Why did god give these humans free will?
Now they are all confused
because now they have all this power
but don't know what to do
Angles on the side line
Baffled and confused
God blessed them all with reason
And this is what they choose
Human killing Human killing Human
Over pieces of land.
Silly humans, give them thought
they forge a blade
And where there's one there bound to divide it right in two.
Human killing Human killing Human
over pieces of land.
Silly humans, give them thumbs
They make a club
and beat their brother down.
How they survive so misguided is a mystery to us all.
These humans God created fight over everything
Even if they already have it, they still want more.
These humans fight over clouds, over sky, over land, and over sun
They fight for blood, for life, for prayer, for love, and for each other
Now the angles on the side line are wondering when this tug of war will end.
