This is a poem dedicated to anybody who is far away from someone they love.
It was written to express my feelings on the relationship between myself and my captain.

I love the casual mood given by the word choice, yet the strong emotion conveyed at the same time. It has a great rhythm to it as well. Nice write! I enjoyed it. :-)

It's basically written for and about a man that I love, but it would be highly inappropriate for me to express that love. So we spend a lot of time together as friends, and I miss him when he is gone. This poem was written after he'd been out of town for months, with the only correspondence being his statement 'I may never return'. So you have hit it right on the nose....strong emotion trying to pretend that it's casual.
