How do I say something
if I don't know what words to use?
I know what I feel,
but that doesn't help me one bit
in my search for the right words.
For the fourth night in a row
I am awake,
digging like a steamshovel
with hopes that I will find them.
My body is tired and weak
whilst my mind is in a full sprint
on a neverending track.
Up and down
and back and forth,
but it never stops.
I feel like a blind man
trying to build a jigsaw puzzle.
How do I say something
if I don't know what words to use?

Ahh I know that feeling all too well.
How do you say something when you have no words for it?
I feel I am nothing without my words. Words have defined my life, every action I have taken, decision I have made... so when my words flee me, I am left thrashing for the surface but sinking into a well of confusion and despair.
I think most poets and writers feel this way. Sometimes, the most important expressions are the hardest ones to express. Love, for instance. I can never seem to find the correct words for expressing love. "I love you" isn't enough. It's overused and underrated.
Great write, my friend. One of my favorites by you.

I've been through this too many times to count. I'm sorry you have to. It can be frustrating and depressing when you can't speak the right words. You expressed that very well.
Thank you for entering and goodluck in the contest =)

Awwwhh how cute. I love this poem. I like the repetition and great metaphors. I missed reading your work. I love it ^^ Keep it coming.
Btw, when are you getting your service back on? I've called a few times over the past few weeks to hear it's temporarily out of service. How are you? How's everything going? What's new? Lol miss chattin with ya. Though sorry each time you've called recently was cut short XD But yeah I'll talk to you soon hopefully. Hope all is well.
