We floated on down the shore to our secret garden
Pastel trees flying past our faces
That day in our airplane we landed in some strange place
Strawberries and raspberries ripe as can be
I step upon them, they crunch against my feet
Real and red and ripe, everything was before the turn of the century
It has been forever since the wars first begun
When we humans were as one
But last night through the telephone I touched your soul and you touched mine
And two people were one through barriers of space and time
As I was reminded of an alternate universe exploding in blue and gold
I pondered to myself as the music swelled through my veins
What are we waiting for, I have to ask everyone that flies past me in shadows
The universe is waiting to swallow us all whole and all we can do is be cold
And we keep forgetting the past, the things that happened before we grew old
The things that will keep being repeated, the things that last
We forget the things that matter
If anything matters to you, I ask you, keep it sacred in our souls
So we can relive it forever
All before the night the universe exploded and swallowed us whole
