Memories.

Six weeks doctors said,
prognosis she'll be dead.
Nothing else they can do,
twenty six life is through?

Take my heart rip it out!
Turn my body inside out.
Let her live for her I'd die,
What's earth without sky?

Cut deep surgeons knife,
loving her more than life.
Wounds bleed crimson red,
life for me now is dead.

This is a short poem but none the less it is still an extremely powerful and bitterly sad poem. The 3rd and 4th lines of the 2nd Verse cut right through to the very core of my heart.
    Superbely written!!
I have never been in such a position, nevertheless, I am sure I can understand your feelings for there are some I am sure that I would willingly give my life if necessary.

  • I really liked this poem. It shows how somethings in life cause fear. Sounds like cancer in this case. I enjoyed the read!!

Thank you for your encouraging comment ZacEfronRocks ... yes it was sadly cancer.

Death is no respecter of age in that it takes ones so young.

  • The pain of your loss comes through, still strong after time has passed. Keep the faith, we know we will see these ones again! Much love to you.

Hallo dearest all faded blue ... when I read the content of this contest I simply could not resist.

Thank you for your kindness and encouragement dearest sister.

Time flies and waits for no-one and although the years have passed by I would gladly have given my life to have saved hers would still do that right this minute ... sad it just could not be .

I personally think that dying must be easier than living without your loved ones, don't you?

My faith is still very strong and sustains me although I still hurt and miss her ... but such is life a sis?

    SO SWEET!!!

It is truly a difficult road to travel as one you care about is not well and not having long to live. One prays they could trade places with them as their heart cries for them.
