Mastication, Rumination
I’m crooked, corrupt
Absolutely fucked up,
I’m shut up, in this place
Forced to shut up
Because talking provokes thought
All they want is obedience and regurgitation
New ideas cause agitation
And industrious revolution
Where things get done and progress is shown
Ideas chewed to the bone
Marinated in firing neurons and synaptic flashes
Masticated in deep rumination
I wanted to be free-minded
Now I find
You want me down the narrow path
Well, I won’t have it.
I’m not rude, I’m not savage
Words are just the way I do damage
I’m not talking about violence
My voice is a poisonous antidote
To your restrictions.
Your vicious fissures try to swallow me
I won’t let you break my spirit
I’ll make you fear it,
I won’t be pushed around
I won’t quiet down.
Author notes

Aw yes! Strength in words well spoken, strength in truth never to be broken, Strength in words that pierce, Strength in knowing words that are fierce! I love this piece, well worded and flowed well, thanks for entering!
