there is no good reason
for my absence
except i was busy
watching children grow up with
suburban husbands having secret
secretary affairs while
suburban moms choke their
hidden suspicions with ralph lauren jeans,
rabbits chew through blackberry phone cords
bubbles erupt from marijuana pipes and on
black and white tiled floor lies my bloody scalp
rid of all evil, sickness and monet paintings
giovanni cried so hard i nearly wept too
the unborn child of my future who whispered
his own italian name into my ear. i wish
liv tyler could be my therapist.
i cut off all my hair for absolutely no reason at all.

did you really cut off all your hair? i hope so. because it's really awesome to do that, though i generally DO have a reason like "I was bored," or "I was really bored."
also, i've missed your poems. what is it about summer that stops writers? blah.

wow...this is powerful...I really like this piece a lot...especially the last line! wow...it's like you uncovered all the terrible secretes...like your walking through the town and just snatching sheets and swinging open doors, pulling up shades. awesome
