Wandering Soul

Thru your eyes a lost soul unfolds
wandering in darkness
searching for a past
you can't ever get back

A bed you have made
your head you must lay
and for your crime
you've paid with time

The road you follow
has made your life hollow
your careless lies blind
and torture your mind

You speak with forked tongue
with wicked words sung
your piercing touch stings
a harden heart it brings

No more tears to be cried
your actions have been tried
hearts no longer pricked
closing the book on your little tricks

Thru you eyes a lost soul unfolds
wandering in darkness
searching for a past
you never will get back.

Please tell me what you think

    Wonderful Poem!

Your words are sad and heartfelt. We can never go back and undo the past. Sad but true. We can only go forward and try to do bette and forget those who have heart us .
A great poem with lots of emotion. Take care.

    Excellent!

I really enjoyed this one, it could mean so many things to different people. It is deep, almost reads like a self potrait, excellent rhyme scheme and a somber ending. I love it!
