Pretty porcelain dolls, sitting on a shelf,
One is lost, all by herself.
Got a dress and shoes to match,
Happy face, so what's the catch?
She is all alone you see,
No one there they leave her be.
Blank, dull faces, all the girls,
Creepy eyes and lifeless curls.
They all sit upon that shelf,
And they all keep to themselves.

Niice! I like the feel to this piece. It's sad one, I like the way you have brought life to the dolls and yet this can be compared to how real people feel as well. Great work! Thank you for yur entry.

Pretty good metaphor for how you percieve life. A true poet's work here.

this is a great poem. kind of freaked me out as I read this. but i liked it.
-
great imagery ^^ many poets use porcelain dolls as a prompt or subject for a poem. Many are about broken dolls and such i like this one because it brings that prompt and the ever so common ' alone in a crowd' theme together and someone alone.. just alone. Brought together quite skillfully.
