Sun scorching the side of my face
Creeping out between blanketing clouds
Cool air beating against my skin
Still thick from rain
These dark clouds heavy, full, never ending
I’m torn between going forward and turning
Would the rain pour down upon only me?
Are these hovering clouds just my mind’s fog?
The hot sun radiates deeper into me
Speaking into my soul, awaken
Turning, facing the sun, shielding my eyes
Those clouds aren’t meant for me
They aren’t mine…
Calm is coming to me
I see it…
Sun shining on green leafs,
Wind trickling in
Dancing between shadows
I can see it,
Beauty still flourishes in this negativity
