Who's that girl?
What is she thinking?
Where has she been?
Where is she going?
She's someone whose picture you see
When you look up the word martyr in a dictionary.
She's someone who thinks
That the weight of the world
Is on both of her shoulders.
She's someone who's been through an odyssey
That's longer than anyone
Would care to go through.
She's someone whose odyssey
Will extend longer than she wants it to.
How do I know all of this?
Because I know that girl.
She's not just any girl.
She's my little girl.

I love the questioning here.
I often question the same things. -
This was really very beautiful. It had a 'timeless' feel to it that I loved. Very very deep writing here from deep within you my friend. A wonderful piece indeed. Keep writing.

I love how you started off:
'Who's that girl?
What is she thinking?
Where has she been?
Where is she going?'
The questions sparked my interest. They reminded me of a song that's in my favorite musical. It seemed kinda magical... Good luck in the contest!
