standing ovation

Why don't you come with me,
and i'll show you what I see.
I only get it when your with me,
please lend your soul to me.

On my own its just a picture,
i can make up adjectives to impress.
But with you beside me squeezing my hand,
I'm seeing God's work at its best.

The breeze that chills the nettle stings,
The glass sea that stills my head.
My wonder takes my breath away,
my muse is greedily fed.

If I could i'd buy this appreciation,
or gouge out my frequent blind eye.
I'd walk the earth with the respect it deserves,
i'd maybe even start to try.
