I sit here alone,
remembering you.
Not sure why, but it bothers me slightly.
One second ticks by.

I remember the school year.
You always used to annoy me
by taking my lunch, but it was fun.
Two seconds tick by.

I remember that night,

I remember crying.
Oh yes, lots of tears

I remember going on vacation.

But I ignored it and had some fun.

I remember getting back.

and worrying that you wouldn't talk to me anymore.
Seven seconds tick by.

I remember our chats.
When you got your cell phone back.
I was slightly uncomfortable, but I really liked you.
Eight seconds tick by.

I remember non-stop texting.
Whenever we could.
I smiled a lot when I could talk you you.
Nine seconds tick by.

I remember when you felt hopeless.
I tried the best I could to make you feel better.
And I was convinced that it was.
Ten seconds tick by.

But after that was a blur
I stopped talking to you.
I remember feeling a certain way...
Eleven seconds tick by.

I remember feeling insecure.
Because I had strong feelings for you.
So I wanted to end it before you could.
Twelve seconds tick by.

I remember just not talking to you.
I remember getting mad at you.
I remember feeling so insecure, and yet, blaming you.
Thirteen seconds tick by.
Fourteen seconds tick by.
