Hailed for his great prowess in battle
he received immense publicity after the war
for his utilization of omnirange
in his aerial flights
These brought him under
enemy attack often
but he survived valiantly
Even though there was great static at times
he managed to evade forces
that would end his mission, grinding all to a stop
His vigilance and stalwartness
earned him a personal ideogram
that he placed at the entrance of his duplex
reminding him of his spared life

Wow, I happen to like this poem. I kinda get the vibe that it's about a pilot in the military, maybe an Air Force flyboy. I really enjoyed reading it because I could really understand it. I have people I love in the different branches of the military, and this reminds me of one of my boys... Great job! I agree with SpeakLove93, "I can't imagine this was easy considering the words you needed to use".
Good luck in the contest!

LOL....
I just sent you a ms. before I saw your comment!
Sorry!
This is definitely about a pilot!
I was inspired by the words I found in the dictionary & had to do a bit of research 'cause I didn't know what an omnirange was & then the poem took off from there. I'm an inspired writer & it wasn't really all that hard when I scoped the words ~ I saw the story unfold before me. Thanks for the Silver. It was a surprise! Somehow I thought you'd be a male from that pen name of yours.
I'm so glad this made sense to you. I didn't want to be incorrect about the pilot!

Nicely Done
This was very nicely written. I can't imagine this was easy considering the words you needed to use. The concept is also a great one. Very nice job! -

Actually...
the words brought the story up before me & it really wasn't that hard at all. Story poems are new to me [I've only written a few] but randomly picking words from a Dictionary & then writing from that was an intriguing challenge & I liked that. I had no idea what an omnirange was & once I learned the story came together quickly after that! Thanks for your read & compliment.

Good Job!
This is very interesting and very nicely written. I like the use of vocabulary and imagery of war, though I was hoping you would say who you were talking about in the end or in your author's notes.
Interesting random word bank! You did a good job with it!
Keep on writing and good luck in the contest,
Nooni

This is a
total fiction story poem inspired by the random word prompt. I'm glad to know that you want to know who I'm writing about since this is fiction, meaning it must of captured your imagination as being real!
I'm new to writing story poems. This was a fun challenge. Thanks for reading & your compliments!
