Nothing

I feel no presence of another being,
Nothing.
Just the sound of silence
Ringing in the air,

I yearn for another,
To hear a voice
Other than my own
To smell a sweet, heavenly scent
Instead of musky dust
Settling all around me
Like beautiful snowflakes setting on the ground

All around me
I see strong vines binding me
To this empty loveless world
I have no one
No one.

When the sun sets
Hiding in the horizon
I count down the hours and minutes
Waiting …For my only ray of hope.

what do you think?
