Twenty one years of empty.
The lines were not so clear.
The days had blurred together,
he faced his only fear.
No one to hold on to,
He had given up for sure.
Then just one week of talking,
He decided to go get her.
Eighteen was her age.
Rough was just her past.
All her family hated them
and swore it wouldn't last.
Love she said she didn't know.
He was scared to find,
that the fear they shared
had lead the two so blind.
To one another that lonely night
when they broke her mothers heart.
He picked her up and took her home
and that was just the start.
Abusive and rude are what they called him.
She swore that wasn't true.
"He's just using you as a sex toy!"
Is what they said he'd do.
But that will never be the case,
for he would give his life,
not only to see her smile, but
in hopes to see her his wife.
They do not fight or bicker,
They only share their hearts.
For she is everything to him,
and he is where her life starts.
For life they love and carry on
as one they will surely be.
I hope this story inspires you,
for this he is truly me.
