Until Forever Begins

Before time existed
Forever was just a dream
In the garden of Eden
stood Adam and Eve
Where forever began

Years and years have passed
and now I am that barren tree
Waiting patiently in my garden
For the one who will make me fruitful
With his everlasting love

To me, the barren tree
Forever is also just a dream
A dream that seems so truthful
But is not yet tangible
So I fall asleep
Not wanting to wake
Until forever begins
Until forever begins for me

ah, a nicely and most adroitly done poem.. and a very good use of short line, which is not allways so easy to do! bravo.
